BRYLLUP

You don’t want awkward cheesy poses, standing around for ages, fixed grins, unable to talk to people you care about because you’re too busy in a stiff pose for the camera?
That’s cool – I don’t want that either.
I just want you to have a good time and have some fun. Hang out with your friends, hug your family, have a glass or two of something you enjoy, munch the food, laugh until your sides ache and have the time of your life. I’m here to document your day, not take over it.

Stuff I avoid like the Proverbial Plague

Boring identikit wedding poses.
Marathon hour-long photo sessions away from your guests.
Cheesy photos you didn’t ask for. You don’t want to do it, I don’t want to do it, we don’t do it.
Spending more time with me, the photographer, than the people you invited.

Photography for Small Scottish Weddings

Hate having your picture Taken?

Despite all those selfies, most people hate having their picture taken – me included! Whilst most of my couples are nervous at first, by the time we’re done, they’re always excited about seeing their photos afterwards. My portraits are all about having a laugh, getting to know you, and letting you enjoy each other for a brief moment in time away from the guests for 15 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Planning your wedding is exciting, but it can also come with a lot of questions—especially when it comes to your photography! To make things as stress-free as possible, I’ve put together answers to some of the most common questions couples ask me. From what’s included in my packages to how I make everyone feel at ease in front of the camera, this FAQ is here to give you all the information you need. If there’s anything else you’re curious about, feel free to get in touch—I’m always happy to chat!

What is your photography style, and how do you approach wedding photography?

My style combines documentary photography with a creative touch. I love capturing natural, candid moments, but when it’s time for those beautiful portraits, I’ll guide you with subtle direction to make the most of the light and angles. The way we approach this will reflect your unique relationship, ensuring your photos feel authentic and personal to you.

What packages do you offer, and what’s included in each one?

offer a range of packages to suit your needs, from full-day and half-day coverage to a bespoke, build-your-own option where you choose the hours you need. Each package is thoughtfully named after a different Norwegian island. Simply get in touch, and I’ll send you the full list so you can pick the one that works best for you!

How many photos will we receive, and how are they delivered?

The number of photos you’ll receive depends on the coverage you choose. For a full day, you can expect around 800 images, while half-day coverage typically results in about 400 images. If you opt for a second photographer, you can look forward to an additional 150–300 images. Your photos will be delivered via a private online gallery, where you can download both high-resolution images for printing and web-friendly versions for sharing online.

Can we see a full gallery from a recent wedding?

Absolutely! Once you get in touch, I’ll share links to a few full galleries from weddings I’ve photographed. Feel free to browse through them before we chat to ensure my style aligns with your vision for the day.

Can we add an engagement session or second photographer?

Engagement (or pre-wedding) sessions are perfect if you’re feeling camera-shy and want to gain confidence before the big day. A second photographer is a fantastic addition for weddings spread across multiple locations or with larger guest lists. My largest package, Svalbard, already includes both a second photographer and an engagement session, but you’re welcome to add either to any other package to create something bespoke.

Do you have backup equipment and insurance?

Yes, absolutely. I’m fully covered with professional insurance and always come prepared with backup equipment. I use two cameras throughout the day and each camera dual-records the images for added security. Once I’m home, your photos are backed up in three separate locations to ensure they’re completely safe until you receive them. When it comes to protecting your memories, three really is the magic number!

Do you charge extra for extended hours or additional coverage?

For my full-day coverage, there’s no set start or finish time—it’s as long as you need me! For half-day or bespoke packages, you can easily add extra hours if required to ensure everything is covered.

Can we request specific shots or provide a list of must-have photos?

Of course! After you book, I’ll send over a pre-wedding schedule, which includes a section for you to share any must-have photos. This way, I can ensure your most important moments and details are captured on your big day.

How long does it take to receive our photos, and do you provide sneak peeks?

I’ll send you a gallery of 50-100 sneak peek photos within a week of your wedding, along with a slideshow that’s perfect for sharing on social media. This sneak peek gallery is also great for printing or ordering your thank-you cards for guests. The full gallery, which includes all your carefully curated and edited photos, will be ready in around 6-8 weeks, depending on the wedding season.

Can we include pets or personal elements in our photos?

Absolutely, you can! Including pets or personal elements in your photos is a fantastic way to make your wedding photography even more meaningful and unique to you. I’m all for weaving in those little details that tell your story. Just let me know beforehand so we can plan how best to include them—especially if your furry friend might need a little extra wrangling on the day!

Can we have a video call before booking?

Absolutely! As soon as you reach out, I’ll send you a link to my calendar where you can easily book a video call. This way, we can chat and make sure we’re a great fit before you make any decisions.

How do we secure you for our date?

Securing your date is super simple! Start by getting in touch, and I’ll check my availability. If I’m free, I’ll send you all the pricing details so you can choose the package that works best for you. From there, we can arrange a quick video chat to go over everything and make sure we’re a great fit. Once you’re ready to book, I’ll send over the contract and booking form—all handled online to keep things stress-free and straightforward. Your date will be officially secured as soon as the deposit is paid!

Do you offer film photography as part of your packages?

Yes! I primarily shoot digital to ensure all key moments are covered, but I also offer 35mm film as an artistic addition. Film has a nostalgic feel but depends on time and light. The number of film images varies (dependent also on coverage), but each frame is carefully composed to complement your digital gallery.
