I was thrilled that Clare and Chris booked me for their Glasgow University Chapel wedding ceremony and colourful Killearn Village Hall wedding reception. They transformed Killearn Village Hall with colourful ribbons and flower decorations. This tied in with the buttonhole and bouquet, and Clare wore some of the same flowers in her hair.
It was lovely to have a contrast between the portraits at their Glasgow University Chapel ceremony. We utilised the cloisters for a fantastic group photo and some elegant wedding couple portraits. Come rain or shine, it’s a cracking location for wedding photographs. The guests travelled to Killearn Village Hall with it’s stunning views of the Stirlingshire countryside and Loch Lomond. Wedding coordinator Sheena from Three Sisters Bake Weddings was on hand to ensure glasses were topped up and kept the day running perfectly.
Unfortunately, Chris’s sister and Clare’s sister were both unable to travel from New Zealand. The two sisters intended to be Clare’s bridesmaid and sent a video message to their newlywed siblings. We had beautiful weather as well which meant we had a lovely sunset in the evening. What’s better than watching a sunset? Having a couple who are happy to pop out for some portraits during that sunset! It’s not always a given in Scotland, so I love it when couples embrace the moment.
In the evening, Clare and Chris celebrated with a ceilidh for their guests. The Big Shoogle made sure that the dancefloor was lively through the night! With the decorations, it really was the perfect finish for their colourful Killearn Village Hall wedding.
